Highway

North Alabama is served by four interstates: I-59, I-65, I-565 and I-22.

These major roadways, along with our numerous four-lane highways, facilitate a free-flow of daily traffic with very little congestion. Every North Alabama resident is located within 20 miles of a controlled access or multi-lane divided highway, and our average commute to work region-wide is 25.15 minutes.

Destinations such as Little Rock, Arkansas; Louisville, Kentucky; the western tips of Virginia and North Carolina; and the sandy white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are only a six-hour car ride away for most North Alabamians.
